On February 16, 2026, Rapid Bio and Ethiopian company Qeteran Manufacturing Medical Equipment Trading PLC signed a memorandum of understanding at the Russian Trade Representation in Ethiopia.

The agreement focuses on developing the production of rapid diagnostic test systems in Ethiopia using Russian technology. This step is a part of Rapid Bio’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the African market while supporting the local healthcare infrastructure. The collaboration aims to improve the availability and quality of diagnostic services in Ethiopia.

On 2 December 2025, Almaty hosted the international scientific and practical conference “HIV: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”, organised as part of an information campaign marking World AIDS Day and focused on the theme “From challenges to transformations in the response to HIV”. Rapid Bio took part in the event as a sponsor and presented its innovative diagnostic solutions at an exhibition stand.

The conference brought together leading specialists, representatives of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health, state and non-governmental organisations, as well as international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO), UNAIDS, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Rapid Bio’s team actively participated in the plenary sessions, which focused on current approaches to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of HIV infection. For the company, the conference became an important milestone in strengthening international cooperation and consolidating its position in the field of infectious disease diagnostics, as it continues to work on innovative solutions to improve HIV testing.

From 4 to 6 November 2025, a Rapid Bio team joined an international business mission to Uzbekistan, where delegates met with potential partners, distributors and government institutions, including major companies and representatives of the country’s Ministry of Health.

Following the visit, the parties outlined priority areas for further cooperation. Discussions covered the registration of key medical devices in Uzbekistan and the possibility of entering into preliminary agreements with prospective partners on the local market.

From 29 to 31 October 2025, the Rapid Bio team took part in the second International Conference on Microfluidic Technologies “Smart microfluidics 2025”, held in a hybrid format at Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don. The forum brings together researchers and industry representatives from around the world to discuss applications of microfluidic technologies.

At the Rapid Bio stand, visitors were able to see a range of the company’s in-house developments, including solutions in its new strategic area — microfluidics. As part of the scientific programme, company specialists delivered a talk titled “Point-of-care test systems based on microfluidic technologies”, outlining engineering approaches to integrating microfluidic chips into rapid diagnostics at the point of care.

Microfluidic platforms help cut sample and reagent volumes, reduce turnaround times and improve reproducibility — all key factors for the development of portable test systems and wider access to diagnostics.

From 23 to 25 October 2025, Rapid Bio joined a business mission organised by the Moscow Export Center as part of the Health Asia International Exhibition & Conferences at the Expo Centre Karachi in Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi.

During the visit, the Rapid Bio team held a series of meetings with potential partners on the Pakistani market, paying particular attention to talks with the country’s Ministry of Health and Ministry of Industries and Production. Discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in the field of laboratory diagnostics and the localisation of innovative technologies.

As part of the outreach programme, Rapid Bio also conducted working meetings with leading medical institutions, including Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) and Asghar Hospital. The parties discussed prospects for introducing the company’s diagnostic solutions into their laboratory practice.

The business mission to Pakistan opened up a new horizon for Rapid Bio in the promising South Asian market and became an important step in promoting its innovative laboratory diagnostics technologies internationally.

On 21 October 2025, Rapid Bio opened its production facilities at the Skolkovo Innovation Center to participants of the All-Russian scientific and practical conference with international participation “Current issues in the prevention of infectious and non-communicable diseases: epidemiological, organisational and hygienic aspects”, organised by the National Association of Specialists in Infection Control (NASCI).

Specialists, representatives of medical institutions and chief external experts from Russian regions were given an overview of Rapid Bio’s manufacturing capabilities and innovative solutions. The visit included a presentation from Vladislav Ivanov, Head of the Rapid Test Systems (IHA) Development Department, who outlined prospects for introducing new technologies into diagnostics.

In his talk, Vladislav Ivanov highlighted recent advances in rapid testing, including immunochromatographic assays, microfluidic lab-on-a-chip platforms and electrochemical detection for diagnostic chips. He also stressed the importance of integrating molecular biology into point-of-care solutions and discussed the role of PCR in modern diagnostics.

A welcome address was delivered by Evgeny Dimitko, Deputy Commercial Director for Strategy and Marketing at Rapid Bio and Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. He underlined the value of knowledge-sharing for the development of the sector and noted that Rapid Bio’s innovations help bring advanced medical technologies into everyday healthcare practice.

The visit was also attended by Roman Polibin, Russia’s chief external epidemiology specialist, who stressed the importance of such events for improving diagnostics and prevention of infectious diseases nationwide.

Rapid Bio thanked NASCI for its cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting scientific and educational initiatives aimed at enhancing diagnostics and expanding access to modern medical solutions across Russia.

Rapid Bio has taken part in the “Moscow R&D School” programme and, following the final module, concluded four agreements on joint research and experimental development projects.

The company’s new partners are Labadvance, a high-tech start-up based at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology; the Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Plekhanov Russian University of Economics; and the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.

The “Moscow R&D School” is organised by the Moscow Innovation Cluster and the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management. Rapid Bio notes that the programme provides a space where scientific ideas can be turned into real technologies and helps to strengthen Russia’s innovation ecosystem. The new agreements are expected to deepen collaboration between researchers and industry and to support the development of next-generation diagnostic technologies.

From 1 to 3 October 2025, the Russian Diagnostic Summit (RDS 2025) took place at the Crocus Expo exhibition centre in Moscow, bringing together more than 12,000 specialists and featuring over 700 talks on key areas of laboratory and instrumental medicine.

Rapid Bio presented its latest diagnostic solutions and organised its own satellite session titled “Clinical and organisational aspects of point-of-care testing in routine medical practice”. The event attracted more than 100 participants, including heads of clinical laboratories, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health, research centres, industry and business.

The session was moderated by Rapid Bio co-founder Semyon Pokatsky. Key presentations were delivered by Olga Tarasenko, Deputy Director and Academic Secretary of the Association for Laboratory Medicine (FLM); Lyubov Drozdova, the Ministry of Health’s chief external specialist for medical prevention; and Ilya Kazeev, Director of the Institute of Medical Materials under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Leading figures in Russian diagnostics took part in the discussion, including academics from Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, national reference centres, major private laboratories and Skolkovo Foundation. The debate covered the role of point-of-care testing in emergency and primary care, regulatory issues, methodological support for rapid tests, the growth of self-testing and the development of domestic diagnostic solutions.

Following the round table, participants prepared a set of proposals to improve the national system of point-of-care testing. The document has been submitted to the Association for Laboratory Medicine for expert review, with a view to further transmission to the Ministry of Health. The recommendations aim to improve early diagnosis, standardise approaches across different types of medical institutions and strengthen quality control in laboratory medicine.

Rapid Bio also presented its portfolio at the “Diagnopolis” exhibition area, where its stand showcasing new Russian-made test systems and innovative developments was visited by more than 300 specialists. In addition, over 50 summit participants joined a tour of the company’s production facilities to see the full cycle from R&D to manufacturing.

The company’s satellite session and exhibition activities at RDS 2025 became an important platform for dialogue between science, healthcare and industry, helping to shape practical steps for expanding access to fast, high-quality diagnostics in Russia.

Rapid Bio has taken part in the 7th National Forum of Laboratory Medicine of Kazakhstan, Natforlab 2025, held in Astana on 19–20 September. The event is one of the country’s largest platforms for laboratory medicine, bringing together leading specialists and experts to exchange experience and showcase technologies shaping the future of diagnostics.

At its stand, Rapid Bio presented a range of rapid test systems covering key public health priorities, including:

• third- and fourth-generation HIV diagnostics;
• rapid solutions for detecting influenza and COVID-19;
• tests for viral hepatitis B and C.

Alongside the exhibition programme, Rapid Bio held a series of B2B meetings to outline its strategic plans for partnerships and product promotion. These talks are seen as an important step towards strengthening cooperation and expanding the company’s footprint in the Central Asian market.

The company says participation in major industry platforms such as Natforlab 2025 helps bring modern diagnostics closer to patients while setting new directions for the development of laboratory medicine across the region.

Rapid Bio has been named a laureate of the all-Russian “Exporter of the Year” competition, securing second place in the “Breakthrough of the Year” category at the regional stage of the awards. The ceremony was held in Moscow.

The competition is open to large enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses and individual entrepreneurs that have achieved significant success in exporting non-commodity, non-energy goods, services and intellectual property. The “Exporter of the Year” award was established by the Government of the Russian Federation and forms part of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”.

The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) has once again brought together government officials, business leaders and researchers to discuss the future of Russia’s Far East and its role in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2025, the agenda included a strong focus on biotechnology, innovation and new market growth.

Rapid Bio’s Commercial Director and co-founder Semyon Pokatsky took part as a speaker in several key sessions at the forum:

• “Course to the East: Drivers of Biotech Growth” – a discussion on the Far East as a strategic platform for developing the bioeconomy, transferring technologies and promoting Russian biotech products to Asia-Pacific markets.
• “Incentives for Venture Market Growth: From Business Angels to IPOs” – a session focused on support mechanisms for start-ups, the evolution of the venture ecosystem and ways to increase the investment appeal of high-tech companies.
• “Business in Russian”, held under the auspices of the Russian “Znanie” (“Knowledge”) Society – a panel highlighting the experience of domestic brands that have grown from local initiatives into national leaders, and the challenges of scaling up and building an entrepreneurial support ecosystem in Russia.

In a panel discussion on improving the business climate, Semyon Pokatsky emphasised the importance of Russian innovation-driven companies that create new markets and contribute to the country’s technological sovereignty.

On the sidelines of the forum, Rapid Bio also held talks with partners from the Amur and Sakhalin regions, exploring possible areas of cooperation and joint projects in healthcare and diagnostics.

Participation in EEF 2025 has given Rapid Bio an additional platform to present itself as a fast-growing biotech company open to dialogue and collaboration with Russian regions and international partners alike.

Rapid Bio has held a working meeting with representatives of X5, one of Russia’s leading food retail companies, to discuss a potential partnership in deploying rapid test systems aimed at improving quality control and product safety.

During the talks, the two sides examined possible next steps and options for integrating Rapid Bio’s test systems into the retail segment. Particular attention was given to how rapid diagnostics could support quality assurance and to joint strategies for promoting innovative food safety solutions on the market.

As part of the visit, X5 representatives toured Rapid Bio’s production facilities at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow, viewing the full cycle from R&D and manufacturing technologies to multi-stage quality control of each test kit before it is shipped to customers.

Both Rapid Bio and X5 viewed the meeting as productive and expressed their readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of quality and safety.

A new project-based educational programme, the “Moscow R&D School”, has been launched in Moscow by the Moscow Innovation Cluster in partnership with the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management. The initiative is designed to foster cooperation between science and business in developing and implementing applied R&D tailored to the needs of industry.

Leading research teams from Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the National University of Science and Technology MISIS, Skoltech and other institutes have been invited to take part, alongside major industrial partners. Rapid Bio is among the participating companies, having submitted its own technological challenges and plans to work with scientists on innovative projects in diagnostics and biotechnology.

The programme consists of four in-person modules combined with online teamwork. Participation is free of charge, and graduates will receive formal professional development certificates. Supported by Moscow’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development, the initiative is intended to increase the share of R&D in the city’s economy and strengthen links between universities and industry.

Evgeniya Igorevna Simonova, Projects Director at Rapid Bio, has been named a laureate of the 2025 national “Women for a Healthy Society” award. The ceremony took place in a formal setting attended by representatives of the professional community, government authorities and leading medical organisations.

The award was presented by Russia’s Minister of Health, Mikhail Murashko, who underlined the importance of women leaders in advancing healthcare and promoting a culture of health in the country.

Established to support initiatives that strengthen public health and drive innovation in medicine, the award recognises Simonova’s role in promoting modern rapid diagnostic solutions and in consolidating Rapid Bio’s position as a technological leader in this field.

Rapid Bio has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Skolkovo Foundation and investment company KAMA FLOW on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), in a move aimed at strengthening Russia’s capabilities in rapid diagnostics for socially significant diseases.

Under the agreement, the parties plan to pool their efforts to support the growth of Rapid Bio as a technological leader in point-of-care and rapid diagnostic solutions, including assistance with scaling development and manufacturing of domestic products.

The memorandum was signed by Anzhey Zhimbiyev, Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Bio; Kirill Kayem, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Priority Areas of Technological Development at the Skolkovo Foundation; and Evgeny Borisov, Partner at investment company KAMA FLOW.

The signing took place as part of the official business programme of SPIEF-2025, one of the largest international platforms for dialogue on economics, science and technology. The partners say the deal opens the way for new collaborations, new products and a broader contribution to public health in Russia and beyond.

More than 30 academics and students from leading medical universities in Russia and Uzbekistan have visited the production site of Rapid Bio, a Russian manufacturer of rapid diagnostic tests. The visit took place on 20 May 2025 and was aimed at strengthening academic and industrial ties in the field of laboratory and point-of-care diagnostics.

Russia was represented by Professor Yuri Vyazovichenko and Senior Lecturer Maxim Antipov of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, who were accompanied by a group of early-career researchers. The delegation from Uzbekistan included faculty, postgraduate and undergraduate students from Tashkent State Medical University and the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino. It was led by Professor Gulbakhor Matnazarova, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Head of the Department of Epidemiology at Tashkent State Medical University.

The visit is seen as part of a broader push to deepen cooperation between universities and industry across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), with both sides expressing interest in developing long-term partnerships in education, research and innovation in medical diagnostics.

Rapid Bio, a leader in the Russian rapid diagnostics market, has signed a donation agreement with the Russian Red Cross. As part of the Comprehensive Program of the RRC, the company has donated over three thousand tests for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B and C to the Dejazmach Balcha Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

On 12 February 2025, the Rapid Bio team welcomed a delegation from Myanmar led by Si Tu Aung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CAG Group of Companies.

CAG, a major investment force in Southeast Asia, operates across several strategic sectors in Myanmar, including energy, engineering, and medical technology.

The visitors received a warm welcome and were given an in‑depth tour of Rapid Bio’s cutting‑edge laboratories and production facilities.
