The visit included a presentation from Vladislav Ivanov, Head of the Rapid Test Systems (IHA) Development Department, who outlined prospects for introducing new technologies into diagnostics.<br /><br />In his talk, Vladislav Ivanov highlighted recent advances in rapid testing, including immunochromatographic assays, microfluidic <em>lab-on-a-chip</em> platforms and electrochemical detection for diagnostic chips. He also stressed the importance of integrating molecular biology into point-of-care solutions and discussed the role of PCR in modern diagnostics.<br /><br />A welcome address was delivered by Evgeny Dimitko, Deputy Commercial Director for Strategy and Marketing at Rapid Bio and Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. <![CDATA[<header><h1>Diagnostics leaders gather at Russian Diagnostic Summit 2025 for Rapid Bio satellite session</h1></header><figure><img src="https://static.tildacdn.com/tild6638-3163-4335-a366-656533306539/_.jpg"/></figure><div class="t-redactor__text">From 1 to 3 October 2025, the Russian Diagnostic Summit (RDS 2025) took place at the Crocus Expo exhibition centre in Moscow, bringing together more than 12,000 specialists and featuring over 700 talks on key areas of laboratory and instrumental medicine. <br /><br />Rapid Bio presented its latest diagnostic solutions and organised its own satellite session titled <em>“Clinical and organisational aspects of point-of-care testing in routine medical practice”</em>. The event attracted more than 100 participants, including heads of clinical laboratories, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health, research centres, industry and business. <br /><br />The session was moderated by Rapid Bio co-founder <strong>Semyon Pokatsky</strong>. Key presentations were delivered by <strong>Olga Tarasenko</strong>, Deputy Director and Academic Secretary of the Association for Laboratory Medicine (FLM); <strong>Lyubov Drozdova</strong>, the Ministry of Health’s chief external specialist for medical prevention; and <strong>Ilya Kazeev</strong>, Director of the Institute of Medical Materials under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. <br /><br />Leading figures in Russian diagnostics took part in the discussion, including academics from Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, national reference centres, major private laboratories and Skolkovo Foundation. The debate covered the role of point-of-care testing in emergency and primary care, regulatory issues, methodological support for rapid tests, the growth of self-testing and the development of domestic diagnostic solutions. <br /><br />Following the round table, participants prepared a set of proposals to improve the national system of point-of-care testing. The document has been submitted to the Association for Laboratory Medicine for expert review, with a view to further transmission to the Ministry of Health. The recommendations aim to improve early diagnosis, standardise approaches across different types of medical institutions and strengthen quality control in laboratory medicine. <br /><br />Rapid Bio also presented its portfolio at the <em>“Diagnopolis”</em> exhibition area, where its stand showcasing new Russian-made test systems and innovative developments was visited by more than 300 specialists.
